It’s all but certain that Nintendo will be releasing the next iteration of their console shortly. The Switch is hitting the 7-year mark and while it still commands a considerable lead within its niche, the fact remains that Nintendo will most definitely be bringing a new console lineup to the market.
Now, we know that the change from the Wii to the WiiU was not the hit that Nintendo was hoping for but, we did get the Switch from it. Just like the Wii, the Switch and Switch Lite have been a huge hit for gamers. The question remains what will Nintendo do for the next generation? Will Nintendo continue to produce a console that is not really next-gen and just work on bringing a platform that has function over form to provide fun games that cater to a much wider audience?
